![]() G’MIC contains over one hundred different filters and includes real-time preview. The G’MIC (or GREYC’s Magic for Image Computing) filters were developed by GREYC Lab in 2016 and soon released as a GIMP plugin under an open-source licence. The rest of this post provides a little extra background on McGIMP’s additional features not part of the regular GIMP app – otherwise readers can scroll to the end to download. These additional features make McGIMP a must-have download for serious GIMP users: McGIMP running side-by-side with a regular (stable) GIMP installation is a powerful combination. The main attraction of McGIMP is that its progressive builds (version 2.9.5 at time of writing) include a number of excellent plugins ready-installed: including G’MIC, Google’s NIC collection, and a panoramic stitcher.
